Some remedial s that we carried out on a nice Mews property in Padington London,
the client had some issues with water ingress into the property when we carried out a inspection to the roof area we found the following issues as photographed below.
We had inspection to the flat roof and we had found that several issues with the roof design were water was being trapped behind a water tank housing. this was the area were the main water ingress into the property was. We come up with the solution of re directing the fall and felting the section with a 3 layer torch on felts. and new code 4 milled lead flashings to the perimetter of the defective area of the roof. whilst we was there we carried out further lead flashings to te water tank housing.
we also re directed the rainwater pipe from the adjacent building to flow away and down to the mansard .
One of the other issues that was a cause for concern was the slope of the dormer roof in the mansard was keeping the client awake at night when raining and causing issue with the actual window. We designed a new flat roof with new slopes alongside a check curb cladded in lead to with the in keeping of the building. whilst there we carried out some general maintenance to the box gutter and cleaned it with our skyvac high powered cctv gutter cleaning machine.
These works were carried out in a day by our efficient work force
